Thanksgiving Survey

Did another survey today, covering all the same ground.

Here is my CTBirds Report:

Surveyed again today, covering the same ground, Ash Creek and a bit of
Bridgeport.

Highlights included 3 Gadwall, a total of 31 Hooded Mergansers, 3
continuing Lesser Scaup at the pond at St. Mary's, 1st Great Corm at
St. Mary's and a continuing Red-breasted Nuthatch at Ash Creek Open
Space.

A male Gadwall was seen at Ash Creek Main, joining with the two
continuing Gadwall at the pond at St. Mary's to make 3 Gadwall for the
trip. Gull numbers were down a good amount. American Black Duck
numbers were also down a bit. The three Canada Geese continue to
frequent the area, this time they were seen in the marsh at Open
Space. Large flocks of American Robins, Mourning Doves, and European
Starlings were present at open space. The red-breasted Nuthatch
continues.
