Here we go!

NEXRAD image

May is more than a week away but already we can see that spring migration is building in CT. Frank Mantlik reported a good amount of migrants from Stratford this morning, including a Northern Parula. Numerous species were also reported to our south. Get out tomorrow and check the migrant traps near you as the flight tonight is looking pretty good, especially for April 21st!

    Hi Alex,

I loved the photos of the sandhill cranes and scrub jays–they are both such great birds. We did do a lot of walking in that Florida heat looking for the jays, didn’t we? One thing we learned from that was to take our water bottles with us–the birds aren’t always where they’re supposed to be. Have fun on Saturday–heard you will probaby be banding birds with the Audubon Society. That should be a great day.
